Allianz Partners released its Top 10 Summer Rental Car Report on Monday, revealing the most popular destinations among road-tripping Americans this year.
With of tons of family fun at the ready, Orlando continues to hold down the top spot for the third straight year, edging out Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas and Anchorage.
Los Angeles, Portland (Oregon), Boston, Kahului and San Francisco round out the top 10 hottest car rental destinations for summer 2023.
The top cities were determined by analyzing 20,742 reservations made through the online booking process of car rental insurance paths for partners offering Allianz Global Assistance to generate rental car bookings data from U.S. airports during the summer season, which was defined as between May 26 and September 5, 2023.
“Americans are continuing to opt for rental cars when visiting primary cities across the U.S., allowing them to fully embrace all of their options for a memorable summer adventure beyond the city limits,” Daniel Durazo, director of external communications at Allianz Partners USA, said in a statement.
“When travelers slide into the driver’s seat on vacation, Allianz’s Rental Car Damage Protector buckles in the benefits, coverage and service for a comfortable ride while also saving money at the rental car counter.”
